1977Fall 11-14 to 11-17 Big Sandy Lake, Aitkin Co (Steve Blanich et al).
1981Fall 10-30 Duluth TW, many observers.
1991Fall Minnesota's fourth record appeared at Grand Marais, Cook County 11/21-23 KMH et al. (The Loon 64:56-57).
2006Fall Fifth state record and earliest ever by more than a month 9/26–29 Cass (L. Winnibigoshish at Bena) v.t. †BAW; this cooperative juvenile was refound and photographed by m.ob., with written documentation also provided by PBB, PCC, PHS, DTT, and SMT.
2011Fall1 A juvenile discovered 10/15 Swift (Lubenow W.P.A.) DBM was documented and photographed by m.ob. It was last seen 10/27. Sixth state record.
2012Spring1 Basic-plumaged bird photographed 3/17 Lake (Split Rock Lighthouse S.P.) HPi. Seventh state and first spring record for Minnesota.
 
 Eight records: one spring, six fall, and one winter. Recorded in three of the last ten years, most recently 2014.
